The Margaret Lefranc Art Foundation collection consists of approximately 1,000 of Lefranc's works of art dating from 1921 to 1998. These works include portraits, figures, self-portraits, landscapes, still lifes, abstracts, book illustrations, graphics and city scapes that were created during a 77-year period.
The works in the collection demonstrate Lefranc's grasp of a wide range of media, from oils, watercolors, gouaches and pastels to etchings, charcoals, pen and ink drawings and monotypes. The artist created the works in the U.S., Berlin, Paris, Switzerland and Mexico. Art works and correspondence from various international artists, photographers, sculptors and other notables that help to provide a more complete picture of Lefranc, her place in the art world and her time have been added to the collection, as well.
